Calif

"Calif ... was number one English Setter in United States in 1991."

Lise and Louis bought there first English Setter in 1982. In 1985, they acquired their first show prospect puppy, Am/Can Ch. Five Oakes Artémis (Arti) an Orange Belton bitch who had the distinction of winning the 1986 Best in Futurity at the English Setter Association of America National Specialty.

The same year they bought an other show prospect puppy Am/Can.Ch. Fieldplay's Talisman Zoé (Zoé) a Blue Belton bitch who was the foundation of their kennel.

In 1986, they acquired Am/Can Ch. Kelyric California Sun (Calif) an Orange Belton puppy male. Calif became one of the top dog in his breed. A Best in Show, Multi-Groups and Best in Specialty show winner, Calif won over 10 Specialties in United States and was number one English Setter in United States in 1991. Lise also had the great joy to be awarded Best of Breed with Calif at the English Setter Association of America National Specialty in Rye, NY in 1994 under respected judge Mrs Anne Rogers Clark.

Adèle

"Adèle placed in the Top Ten Dogs in Canada in 1997-1998-1999."

Zoé and Calif produced their Am/Can Ch. Artizoé Bonnie Loulou; USA Futurity, Canadian National Breed and Specialties winner. LouLou, a Blue Belton bitch, combined elegance, soundness and movement. Her stamina was there and she passed it to her kids and grandkids. " ADÈLE " BIS, BISS, Am/Can.Ch. Artizoé Color of My Love is one of her daughter. Adèle placed in the Top Ten Dogs in Canada in 1997-1998-1999.

Lise and Louis are very proud with the dogs they have produced. Since 1988 they are credited with 42 Canadian champions and 28 American champions. Many of these champions are Specialty winners in United States and Canada.

And, in a ten years period, this kennel has had the distinction of having bred SIX puppies that have won Best or BOS in Sweepstakes at the American Combined Tri-Setters Specialties. Over the years, they have also won ten AWARDS OF MERIT at the English Setter Association of America National Specialty and four AWARDS OF MERIT at the English Setter Club of Canada National Specialty.

Their Cora, BIS, BISS Am.Can. Ch. Artizoé Rosewood Cora won Best of Breed at the Canadian National Specialty in 2001 and was number one English Setter in Canada the same year. Their new little girl Eva, Can. Ch. Artizoé Word Perfect, performed great at the American National Specialty in October 2003 going Best of Winners over an entry of 135 females and 90 males. The Artizoé dogs and bitches performed at more than 110 different specialties over the years most of them in U.S.A. taking Sweepstakes, Winners dog, Winners bitch, Best of Winners, Award of Merit, Best of Breed.

Lise is proud to have served has President of the English Setter Club of Canada during eight years. She also served as Quebec Director for many years. Louis is content to be a member, but is always available to lend a helping hand when there is work to be done.

Lise and Louis consider themselves very lucky to share the same passion for their dogs. They certainly put their standard of quality very high. They consider that as breeders they have the future of the breed in their hands and consider it to be a tremendous responsibility. "Our breed is lucky to have so many dedicated breeders in Canada and in United States. They are certainly contributing also to push us to try to reach perfection."
